Menumpang di tengah pusat bandaraya <b>Johor</b> - Pendapatanda Posted: 17 Mar 2015 11:26 PM PDT Ini kali pertama saya menginap di tengah-tengah pusat bandaraya Johor. Tapi bukan kali pertama datang dan bermalam di negeri Johor ini. Sebelum ini datang ke Johor dan tinggal di luar kawasan jauh sedikit dari Pusat Bandar. Kali pertama datang bermalam di Johor, saya menginap di Ledang Resort. Memang agak jauh daripada pusat bandar malah jauh juga daripada Johor Bharu kerana Ledang yang merupakan satu daerah baru untuk Johor letaknya dalam satu setangah jam dari JB. Dulu Ledang merupakan salah satu daripada daerah Muar. Tapi sejak Jun 2008, Ledang diistiharkan sebagai daerah ke-10 negeri Johor. Dah jadi satu daerah baru. Masa tinggal kat Ledang Resort tu aman damai sebab suasana hutan dan pokok hijau ang ada di sekelilingnya. Menumpang di Hotel Citrus, JB Kali kedua pula datang ke Johor, saya tinggal di Pekan Lama Muar, ini juga satu pekan menarik yang lama dan mudah untuk diterokai. Saya suka tinggal di Muar dengan adanya banyak bangunan lama dan kedai-kedai lama. Terasa seperti berada di Bukit Mertajam tapi lebih sibuk dan besar serta cantik. Untuk kali ini, saya tinggal di Hotel Citrus. Letaknya betul-betul di tengah kesibukan Bandar Johor dan dipenuhi oleh banyak bangunan baru dan lama. Banyak juga bangunan tinggi di sekitar kawasan tersebut. Jalan-jalan sekitar Hotel Citrus amat sempit dan kesemuanya adalah jalan sehala. Tempat untuk parkir kereta juga sangat kurang. Kalau nak selamat, kena parkir kereta dalam bangunan yang menyediakan parkir. Bila tinggal di Hotel Citrus, parkir kereta jadi masalah paling besar untuk saya. Hotel itu sendiri tak ada menyediakan kawasan parkir. Terpaksalah cari sendiri tempat letak kereta berbayar yang ada di kawasan berhampiran dan jalan kaki ke hotel. Untuk mudahkan urusan, dalam tengah malam saya akan pusing dan cari tempat kosong di tepi jalan untuk letakkan kereta. Memang tak ada petak parkir sebab itu bukanlah tempat yang dibolehkan letak kereta. Pekerja Citru Hotel kata tak apa kalau diletakkan pada waktu malam. Pagi-pagi esoknya terpaksa keluar dari situ seawal pukul 7.30 pagi. Paling lewatpun pukul 8.30 pagi dah kena keluar. Kalu masih nak duduk dalam bilik hotel, terpaksa cari kawasan parkir berbayar. Saya kena bayar sebanyak RM2 untuk satu jam parkir di tempat sebegitu. Semalam saja terpaksa bayar RM14 apabila dikeluarkan kereta untuk pergi cari parkir tepi jalan tak jauh dari hotel. Lebih elok nak teksi saja kalau nak tinggal d Hotel sebegitu. Tak perlu risau lagi tentang nak letak kereta kat mana. Tapi memandangkan saya ada urusan di Bangunan Tabung Haji tak jauh dari Pusat Bandar, maka terpaksa juga pergi ke Johor dengan kereta. Lagipun selepas selesai urusan di JB, kena pergi ke Muar dan tinggal lagi dua hari di sana. Mahu tak mahu kena bawa kereta. Selepas ini nampaknya jalan terbaik adalah pergi cari hotel lain yang ada menyediakan parking lot untuk mereka yang menginap di hotel mereka. Bagi anda yang tak tahu lagi berkenaan masalah ini, saya pesan siap-siap jangan tinggal di Hotel Citrus kalau ke JB dengan kenderaan sendiri. Lambakan perkhidmatan urut secara terbuka Apa yang menarik tinggal di Hotel Citrus hanyalah kemudahan untuk melilau di sekeliling Pusat Bandar Johor Bharu. Semuanya dekat dan ada berbagai temasya terutamanya pada waktu malam. Salah satu aktiviti menarik yang saya lihat tak jauh dari Hotel Citrus adalah kewujudan khidmat mengurut yang banyak di tepi jalan. Ada berbagai bangsa yang tawarkan khidmat urut dari kaki badan sampailah kepala. Ada seorang pelanggan yang saya lihat terbaring atas katil urut tak pakai baju. Tukang urut itu menekan dan memberikan urutan seluruh badan pelanggannya. Dan semua itu dilakukan tepi jalan secara terbuka. Sedikit malang sebab saya tak rakamkan gambar kesemua aksi menarik yang ada di waktu malam sekitar kawasan hotel tempat saya tinggal. Dan tak sempat juga saya rakamkan betapa banyaknya kedai mamak di sekitar kawasan tersebut. Gambar yang ada kat atas tu adalah gambar menu sarapan yang saya ambil yang diberikan oleh Hotel Citrus secara percuma. Itu saja kenangan gambar menumpang dua malam di Hotel Citrus, di tengah pusat bandar JB.

(1) I didn't have a pick-up from the boarder crossing, as requested. (2) when I called the hotel (3x) to find out about my pick-up, I got passed around and around- each time cold, so on my US cell I got to re-explain everything...
