Hotel CIQ in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, selects Journeyful for Booking

Hotel CIQ Johor Bahru, a budget hotel established in 2010, has selected Singapore-based travel tech startup Journeyful Pte Ltd for their booking engine technology.

"Journeyful's booking engine is elegantly designed and integrates seamlessly onto our existing website," says Ms Thacha K., Sales Manager of Hotel CIQ. "This is the perfect solution for us as we needed a simple-to-use tool that allows our guests to make room bookings and purchase add-on services with us securely, around the clock, via our website."

The affordable, turnkey solution was developed by Journeyful to address the needs of small and budget hotels. The booking engine is designed to fulfill a hotel website's key objective – to convert website visitors into bookings. The booking engine was designed to be both customer-friendly and very simple for hotel staff to use. It can be deployed onto a hotel's website, and the hotel staff can be trained to use it – both in under an hour.

"We are focused on helping hotels increase profitability by giving them exactly the tools need. The Journeyful booking engine allows hotels to secure immediate and guaranteed bookings for their unsold rooms," says Ivan Chong Han, who heads booking engine sales for Journeyful. "We absorb the integration costs and customers pay the hotel directly upon arrival. It's a win-win situation for the hotels."

Hotels add booking engines to their website to provide instant confirmation to customers who wish to book a room. The cost of a booking engine is significantly lower than the steep commissions charged by third party channels, such as Online Travel Agencies. Journeyful booking engines are designed to dramatically improve a hotel's profitability by enabling more guests to book direct.

Developments are underway to improve the booking engine's features, which will be released in later versions of the technology.
